Ken Ludwig talks about William Gillette of The Game’s Afoot
In August, Ken Ludwig wrote a post for Samuel French’s Breaking Character blog about William Gillette, who is a featured character in the upcoming play production of Ludwig’s The Game’s Afoot. William Gillette was an actual American actor that Ludwig describes as the “first American matinee idol.” He was also a playwright, and wrote and performed in the play Sherlock Holmes, with personal permission from author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
