Director talks about The Colored Museum on WHUP-FM’s Light’s Up!

Historical figures Goldman, Washington and Nesbitt intersect with three groups of New Yorkers as boundaries are crossed, alliances forged, and lives explosively altered in this glorious musical.

Ron Foreman, director of The Colored Museum written by George C. Wolfe, and Roman Lawrence, a senior in poultry science, talk with WHUP-FM’s Lights Up! host Wayne Leonard. The Colored Museum is a satirical survey of African American culture and identity. Wolfe envisioned a series of exhibits where consumers would travel from exhibit to exhibit to view the contents of the museum which was then turned into a play.
