Frank Thompson Hall – Studio Theatre
Thank you for your interest in joining us this spring as a member of the SpongeBob orchestra pit. Below you will find pertinent information to prepare for the upcoming auditions.
General Performance Information
The SpongeBob Musical will be performed in the 200-seat Titmus Theatre located in Frank Thompson Hall, 2241 Dunn Avenue, here on the NC State campus.
Performances will take place:
Thur-Sat, March 31-April 2, 2022
Wed-Sat, April 6-9, 2022
Sat-Sun, April 2, 3, 9 & 10, 2022
This information is provided for general purposes of scheduling. Rehearsals will be scheduled once auditions are complete and the pit has been cast. The final performance schedule will be determined at a later date.
Click the link to schedule your audition time. Once in the scheduler, navigate to November 19th to see available time slots and to sign up. Students may register one 10-minute slot.
Instruments and Audition Music Download
The listed instruments will comprise The SpongeBob Musical orchestra. Download the appropriate sheet music and come prepared to play during your audition time slot. An upright piano will be available onsite. Bring your instrument(s) along with any additional equipment required for a successful audition!
- Bass Clarinet

- Trumpet and Flugelhorn
- Bass (Acoustic and Electric)
Video Audition Submission
Video auditions may be submitted if you are not available for an in-person audition. Download the appropriate audition piece(s) for your instrument(s) from The SpongeBob Musical and record yourself playing. Be sure to record you stating your name along with the instrument(s) you are auditioning at the beginning of your video submission. Once completed, upload it here. Accepted formats are .MP4 and .MOV. Video submissions will be accepted until 5:00pm, Friday, November 19, 2021.
