All about APO
Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honors Society aims to encourage the creation of, participation in, and enjoyment of the theatrical arts. Our chapter, the Psi Kappa Cast, aims to promote respect for, provide service to, and advance the performing arts at North Carolina State University.
At University Theatre, APO serves via operating concessions and the production of community-centered events such as Winter Social and The Hammy’s awards night.
Members are asked to earn 17 volunteer hours per semester, earned through service to the theatre and participation in shows as cast, crew, or working behind the scenes in costume, light, or scene shop.
How to join
- Fill out the Pledge Interest form.
- Attend the Pledge Interest Meeting at the beginning of the semester you wish to pledge. Filling out the Pledge Interest Form will automatically add you to our list of invited potential pledges.
- Complete the pledge requirements. These will be discussed further at the Pledge Interest meeting. Important requirements to note:
- Pledges must earn 17 volunteer hours (“points”).
- Pledges must be able to attend meetings regularly, to the discretion of the Vice President.
- Pledges must attend the striking of at least one main-stage production.
