DARIUS ALSTON
Reverend Samuel Parris
Darius is a senior in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship and minors in French and theater. Darius made both his acting and University Theatre debut in the Fall 2021 production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has also worked as a volunteer in the UT scene shop. Darius will be graduating in Fall 2022 and will begin focusing on building his own conglomerate brand and working in the entertainment industry.
LUKE ANDERSON
Francis Nurse
Luke is a sophomore in mechanical engineering. “I’ve done theatre since elementary school, and I’ve always enjoyed working with new people and bringing interesting characters to life. I’m super excited to be working on The Crucible!”
JULIE BAKER
Ann Putnam
Julie is a senior in aerospace engineering concentrating in astronautics. She has been a part of UT since her freshman year, appearing in Our Town, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and The Institute, of which she was also on the writing and creative team. When she is not on stage or creating methods for collecting dangerous space debris orbiting Earth, she can be found reading and talking about books online.
DAIJA BLAISE
Tituba
Daija is a junior in international studies at NC State this year after transferring from ECU as a freshman. This is her third production at University Theatre and is excited to continue working with the program in the future. She is very thankful to her friends and family who encouraged her to continue performing in college and is incredibly grateful for this opportunity to do so.
LOLA BYERS-OGLE
Mercy Lewis
Lola is a junior in English literature. Since reading The Crucible in their high school junior English class, it has been one of their favorite plays of all time, and they are so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of this production. After appearing as Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this is their second show with University Theatre.
MACKENZIE CAYCO
Sarah Good
Mackenzie is a junior in biological sciences (BA) with a minor in theatre. This will be their debut in a University Theatre stage production. Previous show credits include Taylor Thompson in The Institute, Old Woman in Argo, and assistant stage manager in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Mackenzie is a member of the theatre honors society, APO, where they do service in the theatre community. They would like to thank their family and friends who continue to encourage and support their passion for theatre. Mackenzie hopes you all enjoy the show!
KAT CUPP
Abigail Williams
Kat is a sophomore in criminology. This is their second show with University Theatre – their first being The SpongeBob Musical as Sandy Cheeks. Other past credits include You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Snoopy), Les Misérables (Éponine), Bright Star (Lucy Grant), and Titanic: The Musical (Alice Beane). Kat would like to thank their family and friends for all their support, and hopes you enjoy the show!
CALEB D’AMICO
Thomas Putnam
Caleb is a first-year in biochemistry. This is his debut with University Theatre. Previously, he was part of the tech crew and ensemble in Sister Act, and he played Robin Goodfellow in his high school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Caleb volunteers with the costume shop at University Theatre, while also being a part of NCSU’s gymnastics club. Caleb extends his gratitude to his friends and family for their support in his theatre endeavors. He hopes you all enjoy the show!

Chloe is a sophomore in environmental engineering. She has performed in The SpongeBob Musical at University Theatre as a swing. She would like to thank her family and friends who continue to encourage and support her passion for theatre. Chloe hopes you all enjoy the show!

Rebecca Nurse
Mary Elizabeth is a junior in history. This is her first production with University Theatre but she has performed in productions in high school, with Playmakers SYC, and at Belmont University. She is very excited to be part of this production, as The Crucible is one of her favorite plays. She hopes y’all enjoy the show!

Nico is a second-year junior in statistics with minors in cognitive science and theater. They have performed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Fall 2021, and helped out on costume crew during The SpongeBob Musical in Spring 2022. He is also an active member of APO and works as both a stagehand for Stewart Theatre (UT Event Operations), and an intern at Undergrad Admissions. Gray is always thrilled to be part of the theater community, be it on the stage or behind the scenes! He hopes you enjoy the show!

Reverend John Hale
Bean is a sophomore in marine sciences. They have previous experience with shows in high school. Bean was also an informant in The Institute, one of UT’s projects last year. They want to thank their parents for getting them involved with theatre, and their friends for encouraging them to be a part of things. They hope you all enjoy the show!

Kaiya is a sophomore in human biology. While this is her debut show at University Theatre, she has played various ensemble roles in shows such as Cinderella and Lost Girl. Kaiya also worked as an informant on the Institute ARG experience. She wants to thank family and friends for their support and hopes everyone enjoys the show!

Brandon is a freshman in exploratory studies. This is his first University Theatre production. Previous show credits include Ernie Mac in Puffs, Chorus #4 in The Yellow Boat, and Dance Captain, Carlos, and Ensemble in Legally Blonde The Musical. Giles Corey
Ryan is a sophomore in food science. He has been participating in theatre since eighth grade. He has appeared in two University Theatre productions – Snout the Tinker in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Larry the Lobster in The SpongeBob Musical. Ryan is very excited to begin another year of theatre.

Jackson is a junior in chemical engineering. He loves the diverse and heartwarming culture of theater, especially at NC State. His favorite roles include Jimmy Ray in Bright Star and Gad in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Gabrielle is a sophomore in communication with a concentration in public relations with a minor in journalism. She is excited to be making her on-stage debut with University Theatre. Her previous show credits include A Midsummer’s Night Dream, The Institute, and The SpongeBob Musical. Outside of theater she serves as a University Ambassador. She would like to thank her friends for supporting her.

Cassidy is a senior in computer engineering, with a minor in theatre. She was the voice of Calais in University Theatre’s virtual production of Argo. Growing up she was also a figure skater for a decade, instilling in her a love of performance. Daniel is a senior in arts studies – theater concentration and communication – media concentration. He is thrilled to be making his return to University Theatre after a bit of a hiatus, having last taken part in the production of Burial at Thebes as the Messenger. Josh is a sophomore in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. He is making his debut at University Theatre. Judge John Hathorne
Fayaz is a third year student in computer engineering with a minor in theatre. He is in his fifth show at NC State. Previously, he’s performed in middle and high school theatre, with his favorite shows including Peter and the Starcatcher (Grempkin/Bird), Annie Get Your Gun (Pawnee Bill), and Greater Tuna (Arles Struvie). In his free time, he makes games, films, and music under his pseudonym Fayaz12 Gaming.

John Willard
Jacob is a freshman in aerospace engineering. This is his first show at University Theatre. Jacob is a member of the High-Powered Rocketry Club, where he is involved in the design of this year’s rocket, which will be competing in the annual NASA student launch competition.
