I’m so glad you’re in town to see Urinetown!

Get ready to experience the wit and satire surrounding one of our most frequent endeavors, the sometimes-not-so-simple act of having to relieve ourselves while out in public. While we’ve all had to hold it at times, Urinetown doesn’t hold back in its skewering of any number of issues, or other well-known musicals for that matter!

I want to give a big shout-out to my University Theatre colleagues for producing this multiple Tony Awards and Critics Circle Awards winning musical. And, a huge note of thanks to our incredible students – the several dozen behind the scenes that you don’t get to see, and the talented actors bringing the show to life. None of these students are majoring in theatre – their passion for and dedication to University Theatre brings all of us working in the arts great joy.

I’m extremely appreciative of your support of live theatre here at NC State, and I look forward to seeing many of you in person at this or other arts events throughout the remainder of this school year.
