MADALYN ALEXANDER
Soupy Sue
Madalyn is a junior in psychology with minors in business and English. Madalyn is so excited to be a part of Urinetown, the Musical this Spring! The cast is incredibly talented, and she cannot wait for you to see the hard work that has been put in. Madalyn has been a part of a couple other shows with NCSU Theatres producing series, including The SpongeBob Musical and A Midsummers Night’s Dream. She hopes you enjoy this funny, exciting show!
LUKE ANDERSON
Swing
Luke is a sophomore in mechanical engineering. “I’m very happy to get the chance to work on my first musical at NC State!”
DAIJA BLAISE
Josephine “Ma” Strong
Daija is a junior in international studies. This being her fourth show at University Theatre, she is thankful for the opportunity to perform again.
LOLA BYERS-OGLE
Swing
Lola is a junior in English literature with minors in theatre and philosophy. Urinetown is their third production with University Theatre. This is the first musical they’ve been involved with in almost a decade, and they are so grateful for the opportunity to learn with such an amazing cast and crew.
BRINLEY KATE CARTER
Swing
Brinley is a freshman in communication. Making her debut at University Theatre, Brinley has over six years of acting experience and has performed in a variety of different productions. Some of her favorite roles include Sarah Brown from Guys and Dolls, James from James and the Giant Peach, and Genie from Aladdin. She also wants to thank her director, Meme Simmons, and her mom for being her biggest supporters throughout her theatre career.
YI CHEN
Mr. McQueen
Yi is a first year PhD student in the ECE department. He is making his debut at University Theatre. He was previously orchestral director for Rocky Horror, Into the Woods, and music director for [title-of-show]. He is also a member of State Chorale and Chamber Singers. Yi is excited for his first acting role in a musical!
EMMA GRACE COLLINS
Mrs. Millenium
Emma is a junior in business administration with a minor in theatre. Emma started acting at the age of 12, and has played the violin for over 10 years. Some of her most notable roles include, Kristen in A Case of Salt, Phineous Trout in Willy Wonka the Musical, Glory in Almost, Maine, and Beth in Miss Bet.
MADELINE CORE
Little Sally
Madeline is a freshman in history. She is very excited for this to be her debut show at University Theatre. Madeline has been involved in the performing arts for almost a decade, with her favorite shows being Peter Pan (Wendy Darling), Hairspray (Tracy Turnblad), and Once Upon a Mattress (Queen Aggravain). Madeline would like to thank her family, friends, and mentors for their continued support.

Robby the Stockfish | Cop 2 | UGC Exec 1
Kat is a sophomore in criminology. This is Kat’s third show with University Theatre, their previous being The SpongeBob Musical as Sandy Cheeks and The Crucible as Abigail Williams. Other past credits include You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (“Snoopy”), Les Misérables (“Éponine”), Bright Star (“Lucy Grant”), and Titanic: The Musical (“Alice Beane”). Kat would like to thank their family and friends for all their support, and hopes you enjoy the show!
KARA NICOLE CUSHMAN
Dr. Billeaux
Kara is a sophomore in communications – media concentration with a minor in music performance. Kara has most recently performed as Pearl in The SpongeBob Musical last spring here at University Theatre! She’s also performed as dance captain, appearing as Lori in A Chorus Line, and other roles include The Reporter in Anything Goes and Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach. She wants to thank her amazing friends, family, and her roommate’s cat Willow for being her biggest supporters! Now, if you’re here for pee jokes, urine luck. 🙂

Daniel is a junior in economics with a minor in theatre. He is making their debut at University Theatre. Previous show credits include Will Bloom in Big Fish, Bill in Mamma Mia!, and PonyBoy in The Outsiders. Little Becky Two-Shoes
Zosia is a senior in psychology and Spanish. She is so excited to be in her second show at University Theatre playing the fiesty Little Becky Two-Shoes! Zosia has most recently gotten the chance to play Karen the Computer in The SpongeBob Musical through UT, as well as Lizzy Bennet in Pride and Prejudice, at Raleigh Little Theatre. Zosia thanks her family and friends for their support and love, and everyone at University Theatre for connecting her with amazing opportunities and amazing people.

Chloe is a sophomore in environmental engineering. She has performed in multiple shows at University Theatre including Betty in The Crucible, and as a Swing in The SpongeBob Musical. Bobby Strong
Jake is a junior in English with a minor in theatre. He is excited to be a part of his second main stage show at University Theatre! Jake was a Swing in The SpongeBob Musical at UT, as well as recently playing Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Nick in Godspell at Legacy Theater and Music Company. Jake is thrilled to be playing Bobby Strong and hopes you piss yourself laughing at the show! (Please don’t actually)

Mary is a junior in history with a minor in theatre. She is so thrilled to be a part of her second production with University Theatre! Caldwell B. Cladwell
Will is a senior in psychology. He has loved the opportunities he has had with University Theatre over the last four years, and the love for acting it reignited in him. Will has been in musicals such as The SpongeBob Musical (Mr. Krabs) and Ragtime (Younger Brother), Shakespeare plays such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream (King Oberon), and even participated in TheatreFEST 2022’s Assassins (ensemble). Will is grateful for his friends, family, and many casts.

Jackson is a junior in history with a minor in theatre. He is thrilled to be a part of Urinetown, the Musical! Jackson has acted previously with UT including Nick Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and French Narrator in The SpongeBob Musical. Most recently, he was an assistant stage manager for TheatreFEST’s Assassins and was a director for October’s run of QuickSCRIPTS. Jackson wants to thank his family, friends, and every teacher along the way for their endless love and support!

Ryan is a sophomore in food science. He has been participating in theatre since eighth grade. Ryan has appeared in three University Theatre productions – A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Snout the Tinker), The SpongeBob Musical (Larry the Lobster), and in The Crucible (Giles Corey). Ryan is very excited to participate in another theatre production. “Cereal is a soup.”

Maya is a sophomore in applied education studies – learning, design, and technology. This is Maya’s second show choreographing and starring in with UT. Their favorite roles are as Plankton in UT’s The SpongeBob Musical and Rosie in Mamma Mia!. He is also a part of Panoramic Dance Company at NC State. They are excited for you to see their choreographed numbers and dancing in Urinetown! He gives thanks to his friends, family and to the cast for always fostering his passion for theater and supporting him.

Gray is a junior in statistics with minors in cognitive science and theatre. Gray is thrilled to return to the stage in Urinetown! They were last on stage Fall 2021 in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and worked behind the scenes for The SpongeBob Musical and The Crucible as both a dresser and a swing, respectively. Gray is also part of Alpha Psi Omega, through which they do various service for the theater community, such as working the concession stand and participating in planning committees for theatrical events. Gray is delighted that you’re in the audience tonight, and hope you enjoy the show!

Julia is a senior in art studies – music with minors in theatre and business entrepreneurship. She is ecstatic to be performing as Penny in Urinetown and is so grateful to University Theatre for this amazing opportunity. This is her sixth production at University Theatre. Julia’s favorite roles at University Theatre include assistant directing The Crucible, Ensemble in Assassins, and Devised 2020. She has previously performed in The SpongeBob Musical with UT as well as various shows at Raleigh Little Theatre and Cary Arts Center.
